Email is continuing to grow with email statistics such as open rates, click-through rates and click-to-open rates becoming more successful due to emails being tailored towards specific individuals. However, we are seeing a rise in the number of marketers shifting their strategy towards emails, so competition is also increasing.
According to a recent study by Email on Acid, eighty seven percent of respondents, including developers and marketers, planned to invest more money in their email budget. That’s almost 9 out of 10 marketers and developers looking to use more of their budget for email campaigns, which is a huge positive for those already in the email marketing sphere as it shows growth and opportunity for the future.
Further research found that on average, medium sized businesses would usually spend around $9 to $1000 monthly on email marketing. Therefore expenditure on email marketing could surpass $1000 per month in the future, with marketers and developers looking to spend more on their email strategy and campaigns.
From the survey, Email on Acid also found that seventy four percent of respondents planned to spend more time on their email marketing. This means we will hopefully start seeing more personalised, tailored and sophisticated campaigns in the future, which will ultimately lead to improved engagement with emails and drive revenue for those investing in it. These are really positive statistics, showing there is a huge amount of growth and opportunity to be had within the email marketing sphere.
